I have to ensure there is a room available for the time you are requesting to book. If I decline a request I will reach out and work with you on finding a time that works for us both.
To best serve all clients and keep appointments running smoothly, we kindly ask for at least twenty-four (24) hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Changes made with less than twenty-four (24) hours’ notice will result in a fee of 50% of the scheduled service for the first occurrence, 75% for the second occurrence, and 100% for the third and any additional occurrences.
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to respect the time of clients scheduled after you, and the full service fee will still apply. Arrivals of fifteen (15) minutes or more past the scheduled start time may be considered a no-show at the practitioner’s discretion.
A no-show occurs when an appointment is missed without notice and the client does not arrive for their scheduled session.
I do not offer same day appointments.
Deep Tissue simply refers to working through the more superficial layers of musculature and working with the deeper layers of muscles. Deep tissue does not mean deep pressure is used. Deep tissue bodywork can be achieved without intense pain or discomfort.
It is possible to feel mild discomfort during your massage. I ask that you keep me informed if too much pressure is ever being used or if you experience pain during your session. I do not believe in the "no pain, no gain" mentality. The common "feel good" pain is appropriate and therapeutically beneficial to the body. When the body is only registering pain, it can cause the surrounding areas to tense up to protect the painful area. This is the opposite of what we are wanting to achieve, and does not help achieve longer lasting pain reduction.
You will fill out an intake form prior to your appointment, this gives me a brief overview of possible contraindications for massage, it also informs me of what your goals are for your session.
At the first appointment we will go into further detail regarding your problem spots and goals. This is a good time to ask questions or express any concerns you may have.
I work in a light to medium/medium firm range of pressure. I utilize a combination of modalities to relax musculature and balance the body. The modalities I use allow me to comfortably work deeper muscles without deep pressure.
Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay (tap-to-pay), Google Pay (tap-to-pay), or cash are accepted forms of payment. Checks and American Express are not accepted forms of payment. I do accept HSA, however it is your responsibility to ensure your HSA account allows the funds to be used for massage services.
I do not accept or bill insurance for services. I can provide a super bill which you can use to be reimbursed by you insurance provided your plan has that benefit (not all plans reimburse for massage). If you will need a super bill please inform me, as it is a more in depth process for your appointment records.
